Temperature Control Valves

Webstone offers a wide array of mixing valves and accessories for a host of applications and system requirements.

Thermostatic Mixing Valve

Options for heat distribution range from standard equipment like baseboard heaters and radiators, to more premium installations like in-floor heating and snowmelt systems. The Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) can be used in any of these water distribution systems, to ensure that the fluid is delivered at the appropriate temperature. With eight end connections and optional G1 union temperature gauge and isolation valves, the TMV can be customized for any installation.

Water Heater Tempering Valve

Legionnaires’ disease is an infection of the lungs that’s caused by exposure to bacteria that thrive in temperatures between 77 and 113°F. It’s of growing concern in domestic hot water systems where the water heater tanks are normally set to around 120°F. In response to this alarming trend, industry professionals have been developing ways to mitigate risk of exposure to this dangerous bacterium. Temperatures in excess of 140°F are effective at inhibiting growth of the bacteria in the water tank but present a risk of scalding if distributed at that temperature. The Water Heater Tempering Valve is Webstone’s solution to such problems. On the supply side, a branch and 18” flex hose connector provides cold water to the mixing valve installed at the tank’s output. The valve mixes the cold water with the stored hot water in the tank, providing a new output temperature that can be set between 86 and 120°F. Thus, the tank’s temperature can be set higher and the system can provide a safer output overall.

With the WHTV installed, not only do you achieve safer water storage, but the available hot water is no longer limited to the gallons stored in the tank. As a result, the water heater is more efficient at providing greater and safer hot water output per gallon stored. The WHTV also offers an optional temperature gauge to ensure accurate output, as well as installation kits with Pro-Connect ProPush™ lines for fast connection to copper, CPVC or PEX.
